Google Pixel 4a Release Date, Specs, Leaks, Rumors: Snapdragon 730 Processor and 3 Model Variants

Google Pixel 4a rumors have taken over the internet for the last few days and it seems that the search engine giant will soon launch their mid-range device. There have been certain details leaked about Pixel 4a which claims that it could have 3 different variants a whole new processor.

It is rumored that the standard model of Google Pixel 4a will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and may not have 5G support. Here are more details on Google Pixel 4a release date, specs, rumors, leaks, variants, network support, processors, codename and more.

Google Pixel 4a Specs: Three Models and No 5G Support

Google Pixel 4a variants codename will be also be inspired from various types of fish, just like all the previous Google smartphones. The next three devices from Google are having codenames as sunfish, redfin, bramble and there are high chances it belongs to the upcoming Pixel 4a lineup.

While it is almost confirmed by the XDA Developers reports that sunfish refers to Google Pixel 4a mobile, the other two names: redfin and bramble could be used for upcoming mid-range Google Pixel devices or different variants of Pixel 4a series. There could be a large screen variant Pixel 4a XL, just like the previous Pixel 3a XL and some rumors also claim about Pixel 4a 5G, which will support the 5th gen network.

The base model of Pixel 4a will be powered by Snapdragon 730 processor, while the 5G Pixel 4a will be housing the powerful Snapdragon 765 with 5G-enabled platform as its chipset processor. As for the screen size, Google Pixel 4a (sunfish) will be bigger than Pixel 3a, having a 5.7- to 5.8-inch display.

Google Pixel 4a Release Date in Q1 2020 Possible

Google Pixel 4a has huge chances of a 2020 release based on the success of the previous budget smartphone Pixel 3a. Google will make sure to follow up with the next device in line and launch the Pixel 4a soon. As per some reports, Google Pixel 4a could have a launch date set in the first quarter of 2020 (Q1-2020) or before the first half of this year ends.
