2020 is here and the race is on: 36 days until the NBA trade deadline. Heard some fresh optimism on the final day of 2019 that Cleveland may just find a workable Kevin Love deal before the buzzer …

Meanwhile, the bottom teams such as Timberwolves, Thunder, Pelicans and Cavaliers will trade out their main stars to acquire future draft picks. Here is the NBA rumors roundup for deals of Kevin Love, Chris Paul, JJ Redick and Karl-Anthony Towns before the 2020 February deadline.
Kevin Love to Portland Trail Blazers
Kevin Love has been finally placed on the trade block by the Cleveland Cavaliers and they have decided to rebuild their team. The Portland Trail Blazers might not be doing that great but they are still at 9th seed and can make a comeback. Portland could easily deal for Kevin Love as he will be a perfect fit in their team and it would also ease the load of their recent acquisition Carmelo Anthony.
Chris Paul to Milwaukee Bucks
Chris Paul is playing great for the Oklahoma City Thunder but they never intended to use him and he is just a trading chip for them. Milwaukee Bucks are the top ranking team in NBA right now and they will easily make their way to the finals. But for the big games, they would need a veteran presence like Chris Paul who could take the load off from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton and improve their offense.
JJ Redick to Los Angeles Lakers
JJ Redick has been playing in the NBA playoffs every year but it won’t be possible anymore if he stays with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers are looking for an upgrade and Redick would fit perfectly in the team alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Further, the Pelicans and Lakers deal for Davis already includes a lot of future picks and hence the trade deal for JJ Redick will be easy.
Karl-Anthony Towns to Boston Celtics
Karl-Anthony Towns has already stated he wants out of the Minnesota Timberwolves as he is looking forward to playing in the playoffs. The Boston Celtics have expressed their interest in the big man and KAT could be the gamechanger for them in the playoffs and if they reach the NBA Eastern Conference finals. Celtics have to offer a blockbuster trade deal to the T-wolves for matching the salary of Towns and it is a risk they should take.
