D’Angelo Russell was never going to have a permanent place in Golden State Warriors and with the 2020 NBA trade deadline coming up, rumors about his deals have started heating up. Kevin Durant left a hole in the Warriors team when he joined the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 free agency.
Steve Kerr says the Warriors are "expecting" D'Angelo Russell to return on Monday vs the Kings. Missed the last three games with a shoulder issue.

Kevin Love got his money locked in until 2023. Won perhaps the most memorable ring ever. He doesnt have to play nice with CLE to get paid or to get sent to a contender. CLE gotta move him. This shit is only gonna get worse. Bro gonna pull out his phone next week on defense

Russell might replace Durant in the offensive end of the floor but once Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are recovered, he doesn’t fit in the backcourt of the Dubs side. It is why the GS Warriors could sign the All-Star power forward Kevin Love by sending out a trade package of D’Angelo Russell and Omari Spellman to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kevin Love will Fit Perfectly in the Warriors
Kevin Love could easily become the fourth star in Warriors after Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Love is just 31 years old which is the same age as Curry and even his contract has only one more year. Love and Thompson are childhood friends and have a great bonding with each other, which would prove beneficial in the court.
Apart from being an excellent scorer, rebounder and floor-spacer, Kevin Love has the ability to co-exist with other superstars in his team. Kevin has played together with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Cavaliers for years and he could have the same perfect chemistry with Curry, Thompson and Green in the Golden State Warriors team.
D’Angelo Russell to help in Rebuilding the Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers would also be getting an amazing All-Star level in the form of D’Angelo Russell in exchange for their leading man Kevin Love. Russell will turn 24 years old in February next month and he could easily help the rebuilding Cavaliers team. The only issue is that Russell needs the ball in his hands most of the time and it means the Cavs had to let go of one of their dominant guards including Collin Sexton and Darius Garland.
