The Mandalorian season finale blew everyone’s expectations and fans loved the last episode of the Star Wars related Disney plus TV series. While fans had to wait for 9 days since the last episode ended on a cliffhanger, ‘The Mandalorian Episode 8’ finally solved most of the mysteries and created some new ones.
Pedro Pascal finally appeared without a helmet, Baby Yoda has an amazing force power scene, Mando got his Jetpack and so many other amazing moments stole the show in The Mandalorian season finale. Many of the regular viewers are confused over the ending and couldn’t understand the significance of the Black lightsaber aka Darksaber.
But the amid Star Wars fans were excited to see that Moff Gideon has that weapon. Here we have explained the ending of The Mandalorian season 1, the origins of Darksaber and some interesting theories of The Mandalorian season 2.
The Mandalorian Ending and Darksaber Explained
The Mandalorian season 1 ended with Mando getting his Jetpack and fighting Moff Gideon who is driving a tie fighter. Mando climbs aboard the ship, sets a bomb charge and the blast knocks Gideon out of the sky. Meanwhile, Mando unites with Cara Dune and Green Karga and decides to find the home planet of Baby Yoda so his species can take care of ‘The Child’ and train him in force use.

It is also revealed that Moff Gideon played by Giancarlo Esposito is not dead and cuts his way out of the tie fighter wreckage though a Darksaber which looks like a black sword type lightsaber. For those who don’t know, the Darksaber was created by one and only Mandalorian who joined the Jedi ranks and it was passed into generation from generation.

As per the animated clone wars, movies and TV series sets in the Star Wars and canon to the lore, the Dark Saber were last in the possession of Bo-Katan. It means that Moff Gideon killed her in the ‘Night of 1000 Tears’ and we might see that flashback in The Mandalorian Season 2 for sure.
The Mandalorian Season 2 Baby Yoda Theories
The Mandalorian Season 2 will have Mando traveling to different planets to find the home of Baby Yoda and also training him as his foundling. Moff Gideon will be out for revenge and we would see his ultimate endgame which could be to another Darth Vader type figure by having Baby Yoda’s force powers. It has been confirmed that season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’ is under filming and Disney Plus will release it before the end of 2020 for sure.
