After the hilarious and amazing Rattlestar Ricklactica episode which shows a snake world, the creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon talked about how they came up with the idea of time travel and what they have planned for the future.

The latest episode that aired this Sunday had time travel as a major plot point which would most probably reflect throughout the whole season 4.
Rick and Morty are unable to break the time loop and Rick punching Morty in the future had a black eye effect in present. It simply means that Rick and Morty S04E06 could carry the story forward and break the time-loop around halfway of the episode. Time travel in Rick and Morty has opened up so many possibilities that they could bring any of the old episode threads back.

As of now, there is no official information on Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6, but very soon Adult Swim can release a full trailer for the second half of season 4 and also titles for each episode.
