BLACKPINK member Jennie is first K-pop female artist to cross 350 Million mark

BLACKPINK fans, we have some great news for you all! You must be aware about Jennie’s solo debut for its announcement date long back. Well, the music video has set another record for its versatile owner. Aptly dubbed as “SOLO”, it is the first solo music-video of a K-Pop female to reach the milestone of 350 million views!!

Yeah, so all BLACKPINK and Jennie fans, I know you have catapult to cloud nine along with your idol. On 29^th July, at approximately 9:30 pm KST, the music video of SOLO crossed the border-line of 350 million views on YouTube. The MV will complete its first year of existence in our world on 12 November of this year.

The milestone is achieved by the song in the span of 8 months and 17 days to be exact. However, this is not the only record set by it. Just a few months ago, Jennie of BLACKPINK also claimed the title of being the first -female K-Pop singer to reach 300 million hits with a solo.

The news does not come as a shock for any! SOLO showed its worth just a day after its release when it surpassed 14.6 billion views within mere 24 hours! It stole IU’s title of being a K-Pop solo artist most watched video for Jennie.

The song is produced, written and composed in the air of hip-hop taste and pop element. YG described Jennie’s SOLO as a song containing a beautiful introduction chord and melodious concise lines. To top the cake of her already wonderful debut with a cherry, it encases honest & straightforward lyrics. Simple yet elegant is always the best!

The music video is directed by Han Sa Min. While is its shooting and filming was carried out in London. Jennie’s SOLO even won Son of the Year Award at the 8^th Gaon Chart Music award. Proving its worth yet again.
