Ellen DeGeneres is losing millions as a result of the pandemic. Or so gossip mongers claimed this week. Additionally, the talk show host was recently mocked on Twitter.

DeGeneres has been a relatively successful house flipper over the years. However, rumours are making rounds that she is experiencing a financial crunch. It was also claimed that DeGeneres is scrambling to protect her riches in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Apparently, DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have offered their property for $58 million. When they purchased it for $45.5 million from Adam Levine in 2017. Sources claimed it will be difficult for her to even get $30 million.  Word is that she has so much money tied up in these houses, she could go broke! Tabloids also assert Ellen is renowned for being cheap, in line with the accusations on Twitter.

Maybe the prospect of losing millions on these investment properties caused her to take a hard line on her show. This was said in reference to the claim that DeGeneres has replaced union workers on her show. And that with a non-union crew as she continues to broadcast her daily talk show from a different home in California the couple own.

No way was DeGeneres on the verge of bankruptcy as she tried to sell her house. DeGeneres and de Rossi have been successful house flippers for almost a decade, with DeGeneres’ net worth estimated at  $500 million. When this story was released, the talk show presenter was far from ailing.

Although the tabloid claimed Ellen DeGeneres would be lucky to earn $30 million for her Beverly Hills estate, the pair is said to have earned $47 million. That was still more than the couple had paid for it initially, indicating that the report was based entirely on the assumption.

In addition, tabloids just love to suggest that DeGeneres and de Rossi’s marriage is in trouble. However, that’s not the case. The pair has always been supportive of one another.
