GTA 6 Release Date, Leaks, Rumors: Rockstar Games have no Plans for Sixth GTA Edition

GTA 6 release date should have been announced at the Sony PlayStation 5 reveal event, but Rockstar Games decided to retouch GTA V instead. It has been more than seven years and the gaming studio is still trying to milk the older Grand Theft Auto games.

Fans are eagerly waiting to play GTA 6 but there are no official updates from Rockstar. While there are many GTA 6 leaks and rumors floating around the internet, none of them can be confirmed at the moment. There are new reports suggesting that Rockstar Games have no plans for GTA 6 and its launch will be delayed even further.

GTA 6 Plans are not a Priority for Rockstar Games

GTA 6 release date is rumored to set around 2023 as some document leaks claims about a major project in the fiscal year. However, Viral Junkie Owner and CEO Tom Henderson on Twitter says that the gaming industry is years away from any GTA 6 announcements.

Henderson adds that the earliest GTA 6 could be revealed is after the fiscal year of 2023. Rockstar Games have plans to release GTA 5 for next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X. GTA 6 plans or development are not even a priority for Rockstar at the given moment.

GTA 6 Leaks and Rumors Compilation

GTA 6  will take place in fictional version of Miami, Vice City based on the reports that Take-Two Interactive renewed the gtavicecity domain.

GTA 6 is in development with the code name “Project AMERICAS” and it will be set in the fictional Vice City and the actual Rio De Janeiro city.

Some of the GTA 6 missions will be set in Liberty City which will be as realistic as Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of an arcade feel.

There will be 3 main playable characters in GTA 6 which include a cop, a gangster, and a female bartender.

There will be a giant prison in GTA 6 which will play a crucial role in the storyline and many of the missions will be set in there.
