NBA: Jrue Holiday Trade Deal with Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets Possible before Deadline?

Jrue Holiday will leave the New Orleans Pelicans very soon and join one of the title contenders before the 2020 NBA trade deadline. The Pelicans have proved to one of the worst NBA teams in this season and despite having the No. 1 draft pick and a lot of assets, they are at 9-23 record.

Zion Williamson is injured and hasn’t played a single game and in his absence, Jrue Holiday has taken over the leadership of the team. But the Pelicans are struggling to get results and now Holiday wants out of the franchise. Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets are the top names that could land Jrue Holiday in a trade deal before the February deadline.

Jrue Holiday wants to win games and play for a team which has good chances in future games too. The 29-year-old point guard is doing his best for the Pelicans but due to the failure of other players, playoffs chances for the team are almost lost. Holiday is playing amazing with an average of 19.7 points, 6.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds in this season.

New Orleans Pelicans is a lost cause for the star and he would take a risk and play for a better team even if he ends up losing some money over it. Jrue Holiday will become a free agent in 2021 and he can pick player option for $27.1 million for NBA 2021-22 season.
