Watchmen Extended Trailer is out at Comic Con 2019 and buzzing

The upcoming HBO series Watchmen Comic-Con trailer is out now and it’s crazy, to say the least. Damon Lindelof is recreating the Dave Gibbons’ comic book into a series and the trailer at San Diego Comic Con promises a lot.

HBO is looking at the next big thing after Game of Thrones ended recently and this trailer gives an insight into their future plans. Damon Lindelof is trying to bring a new twist to Alan Moore’s iconic comic Watchmen.

Watchmen series details

HBO didn’t have a particular panel for Watchmen at SDCC but decided to launch the trailer nonetheless. Many characters of the old are still present in the new trailer and Rorschach is once again whispering his iconic line.

“All the whores and politicians will look up and shout, ‘Save us,’ and I’ll look down and whisper ‘No.”

One of Watchmen’s of old returning is ADRIAN VEIDT AKA OZYMANDIAS. Jimmy Irons, the self-proclaimed “smartest man on the planet”. His plan to trick the world into another cold war through the fear of aliens might just come alive this time.

Other characters including LAURIE BLAKE AKA SILK SPECTRE and DR MANHATTAN are also returning from the original cast.

A different take on the 80s classic

Lindelof is taking a different point of view while keeping the bases intact. When the Watchmen series was first announced, Lindelof cleared that it won’t adopt the twelve issues originally addressed.

The world that Gibbons and Moore created is still the same but the idea isn’t. There still isn’t anything concrete about the release date though. Watchmen series can be expected to roll out by the end of this year.

The trailer is out and it’s only a matter of time anyway. It’s also a continuation to the classic sequel trend after Coming to America 2 also confirmed its release date.
