Max Holloway is going to fight Frank Edgar for his world featherweight title defense at UFC 240 on Saturday. This will be a lucky opportunity for Holloway who last lost to Dustin Poirier in an interim title match.
His 13-match unbeaten streak was broken and he will now become only the 2nd fighter ever to enter a title defense after a loss. Frank Edgar on the other hand enters the Octagon in search of a featherweight title for the third time.
If he does manage to beat Holloway at UFC 240, he will become just the eighth fighter to become two division champion. George St. Pierre was a 2 division title holder before him. Edgar’s last title reign came back in 2012 when he was crowned as the UFC lightweight champion.

Main Event Predictions
UFC 240: Max Holloway vs Frank Edgar
Edgar is the master of skills and technique. He performed admirably in his fight against B.J. Penn where his in and out movement were difficult to comprehend. But taking all his skillsets in stride, Holloway might be too big a task for him.
Max Holloway is a gifted fighter. He has the reach advantage over most of his contemporaries and he uses it smartly. His size is also a good deal big for someone like Edgar who doesn’t have a great built. But if Edgar does manage to mix it up and strike it well, he can definitely spring a surprise on Holloway.
Pick : Max Holloway
UFC 240: Cris Cyborg vs Felicia Spencer
The 2nd and arguably the more exciting battle is in the women’s chamber. Felicia Spencer is fighting against veteran Cris Cyborg at UFC 240.
Do you need help from @BlessedMMA and @criscyborg to figure out how to order #UFC240 only on @espn + PPV?! @espnmma https://t.co/LrIzGuW5YN pic.twitter.com/iwoQMmYhBd
— Cyborg UFC240 ESPN+ (@criscyborg) July 27, 2019
It’s a bigger event in some aspects for Cyborg than Spencer. At the twilight of her career, this is the first she indeed looks beatable after her shock defeat to Amanda Nunes.
Spencer in favor of the argument packs a heavy punch and is finally an opponent who can match Cyborg’s strength. Her rare-neck choke submission against Megan Anderson was as powerful as it gets.
But Cyborg, make no mistake, is still a wily fighter and can break skulls for fun. My pick for the fight though is Spencer to remain unbeaten, not much but guts go over the pick here.
Pick : Felicia Spencer
