Formula 1: Max Verstappen wins German GP with no mercedes near the podium

Yes, Max Verstappen from Red Bull is the winner of the German Grand Prix Formula 1 but not without multiple twists in the tale. Sebastian Vettel completed a sensational comeback from the rut to finish second. Daniil Kvyat completed the Top Three as all the Winners finished much to everyone’s surprise.

Germany’s Hockenheim managed to produce another masterstroke of  Formula 1. Although Max Verstappen finished first, it looked highly unlikely when Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton stayed on top for most of the evening.

That Lewis Hamilton finished a 10 rank below Verstappen is testification to the huge amount of ups and downs the champion suffered.

Verstappen win testification to Red Bull’s smart tactics

Mercedes suffered a disaster in their 200th race of the competition but Red Bull were right on the point at Formula 1. Red Bull principal Cristian Horner was nervous as Pierre Gasley and Verstappen were struggling with wheelspins.

But Verstappen soon analysed the situation well and got back into pits soon from mediums to storm back into the contest. Verstappen finished after fitting 5 times only because he showed great presence of mind to clinch the contest.

Sebastian Vettel on the other completed a stunning comeback moving 7 places up in the last 15 laps. But the shock of the moment came from Daniil Kvyat. He achieved third place for Toro Rosso in much unlikely circumstances.

Formula 1: Favorite Lewis Hamilton finishes disastrously

A slip up at the penultimate corner costed Hamilton at least 9 places in Formula 1. He lead the rain hit race for most of the early part but a spin hit his chances hard for the podium finished. Verstappen capitalized on Hamilton breaking his first wing at the penultimate corner.

Mercedes’ other contender at Formula 1 Bottas and Renault’s Niko Hulkenberg also suffered crashes at P3 and P4.

That Verstappen finished first was not the only astonishing moment of the day in Formula 1. Hamilton’s P11 position and Bottas’ exit inflicted severe damage on Mercedes. This is the first time since 2013 Spanish Grand Prix that Hamilton failed to enter the top 10.

Despite a Verstappen win, Hamilton leads the total drivet standings. This was a disaster as per Mercedes’ 125 year of motorsport celebrations are kept in mind.

But still Mercedes-Benz are standing well clear off the rest of the lineup in constructor’s championship courtesy Hamilton’s formidable record.
