UFC 236 Results: Max Holloway is known as the featherweight champion, and was battered by Dustin Poirier on Saturday. He claimed a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) to have a hold on the featherweight title.

The fight was a very intense one, which was full of all action all the time. Dustin Poirier landed with the biggest shots throughout Holloway’s face in a rematch of their 2012 UFC fight. “This feels amazing. I feel like I’m in a dream right now” were Poirier words.
Poirier said that he wanted to be the best and to become one, he had to beat the best. He managed to beat pound-for-pound best in the world. This entire journey was full of hard work, passion, sleepless nights and a strict schedule. Nothing in life comes by luck, Poirier had put his heart and soul for preparation. There is a common saying, “There are no free lunches in life”.
Holloway said, “Priorier deserved to win every bit of this. He worked extremely hard for this”. Hollway is not at all disappointed with his loss, he is a true sportsman and has accepted this defeat gloriously.

Holloway had massive cuts around his eyes and body. After the fight, Holloway said, “I’m not going to take nothing away from Dustin”. It takes courage to beat a world champion and Poirier did that.
