Well, many people love a fancy hat and a mint julep. However, a racing horse taking the center stage on a social media platform is rare. The first where the winner was disqualified in the results of the Kentucky Derby. Surely, the race is won by War of Will but Bodexpress won everyone’s heart.
The jockey was tossed by the horse in the beginning
John Velazquez who was the jockey of Bodexpress was tossed by Bodexpress from the saddle. But the horse did not stop as if nothing has changed. And the interesting part is that the horse continued to race till the finish line. With this action, the horse gained instant attention on social media. This was because it is not often that you see a race completing the race without any jockey.
The horse was not behaving well behind the gates as said by the jockey
The jockey John Velazquez is a Hall-of-Fame jockey, the good thing was that he was not injured after the unfortunate fall. The jockey said that the horse was not behaving well in the gate. And when the doors opened he was thrown off as he lost his balance he fell.
However, the jokey’s disappointment didn’t stop his enthusiasm. Obviously, how can’t you cheer for a riderless horse that decides to complete the race.
